Honour your mind – body connection!
Learn to induce movement where there is stagnation.
Movementality honours the power of doing things with full awareness!
It’s about paying attention,
in great detail, to how you perform a movement. It can be an exercise, or it can be mundane everyday movements like brushing your teeth or getting out of your car.
When we begin to make it a habit to look inwards,
the attention gradually evolves to become focused on smaller and smaller units, like joint and bone angle, parts of muscles activating or tensing up, other parts not firing up when it feels like they should, if you usually make certain movements only with your right or left side, and so on.
You will soon also begin to alter your movements so they can be performed with less effort and in way that supports the inner balance of your body.
Its not about seeking perfect alignment
from any outer point of view. Its is about finding the perfect alignment for your body, based on your anatomy, your habits etc.; the way your body is structured has to be the foundation for what it looks like from the outside. Its obvious, yet so often practices rely on outer standards for how a body should be positioned.
Movementality movements
can be thought of as a dialogue with the body. We move, our bodies send information back to our brains about what that movement does, and we use that information to let the movements evolve, in different ways, and to different parts of the body.
Movementality is so much more
than to just get up and do a bit of exercise. It’s a reprogramming of the nervous system. It’s a breaking up of old patterns; patterns of thought and patterns of movement, that may not serve us in the best way.
It’s a way to discover a new self.
Tune into your intuition
Intuition is so much more than the common conception of ”gut feeling”: instantly knowing when something, or someone, feels off, or on.
Instead intuition can be thought of as everything you have ever experienced and learned. Knowledge which is there, but which is not directly available to your conscious mind.
We know so much more than we are aware of,
and being able to tap into this source of inner knowledge is of great value not only in your professional life but in all areas of life.
Movementality provides insight
into both how to tune in to that ”gut feeling” and have the confidence to trust it, and how to easier being able to unlock your subconscious knowledge in regard to any problem you face or task you have to solve.
Learn to really meditate
Meditation can be a way to increase focus, to combat stress, and to unlock the potential of your subconscious wisdom.
Movementality is very much like a meditation technique, but it uses the body as a focus point.
The benefit of this approach is that
focus comes easier because the physical sensations emanating from movements provide a clear and straightforward focus point. More so than focusing on thoughts, or trying to hold focus on an illusive mental image. When we focus on our moving bodies we get direct feedback into our minds, resulting in a dialogue between body and mind that we can use to gain deeper knowledge of ourselves.
The principles of movementality movements:
Move slower
Move smaller
Move consciously
“When we move with full awareness, every movement can become a healing practice”.
“Focusing on different body parts increases neural activity in that body part, helping you to keep the nervous system vigilant and strong.”

Hello, I’m Josefine, the founder of Movementality!
If I can dream of my legacy in this world, it is to give people the ability to be present in their bodies, in their emotions, in everything that happens to them.
In the present moment there is acceptance, and where there is acceptance there is relief.
We need more relief in life.
Movementality is my way of sharing my practice with you. Its a practice that keeps my body, and especially my back, free from pain. A practice that keeps me grounded and balanced everyday. A practice that allows me to always give myself exactly what I need, in terms of movement, of rest, of mental and psychological self care. A practice that enables me to always be there. For me.
I welcome you to walk this journey of life with me, I can be your guide towards greater self awareness, self knowledge, and self management. Will you join?
