Use intelligent movement meditation techniques as tools to optimise physical and mental wellbeing and productivity.
Movementality moving meditation is a mind-body technique in which movements are performed with intentional focus of the mind.
Its great for:
- Management of lower back pain and pain and tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back.
- Stress relief
- Regaining focus and enhancing one’s cognitive function.
- Increased self awareness and self knowledge
A course of five occasions, one hour each, that covers:
- Somatic sensing and self enquiry through movement
- The power of the breath – breathe for nervous system regulation and breathe for energy
- Intelligent movement – how to release tension with small, intentional movements
- Intelligent movements for increased focus
- The feet as gateways into nervous system activation
- Non sleep deep rest
The course includes both theory and practice, beautifully intertwined in each class.
- The course is done seated on a chair, standing up, sometimes using the chair to support the hands.
- No other equipment needed.
- No need to change into workout gear, although loose fitting clothes that allow for movements are preferable.
- Shoeless, or preferable, barefoot.
- Number of participants is limited to 12, individual feedback will be provided.
Sometimes our bodies become obstacles to our endeavours to be productive. They ache, they feel tired, they require plenty of attention just to accept being seated in front of our desk for a couple of hours.
There is a lot to gain from incorporating the body into any task that primarily involves the brain.
A body that is supple and pain free is the best prerequisite for brain work. This workshop teaches you the tools you need to make your body an ally, and not an obstacle.
